The Role of Contact Person within Steg1

The mission of the contact person within Steg1 aims to create safety, continuity, and meaningful relationships for our placed children and youth. The role involves regularly meeting with the placed individual several times a week for conversations and social interactions characterized by trust, respect, and alliance.

The work is based on the individual needs of the placed person and the issues that led to the placement. The conversations and social meetings should have a clear theme and structure, aiming to strengthen the young person's ability for self-awareness, participation, and development.

All work must be documented continuously through journal notes and compiled into a treatment report together with the family home consultant. The report is included in the monthly report sent to social services.

Main Responsibilities of the Contact Person:

• Meet regularly with placed children and youth for conversations and community.

• Contribute to breaking isolation and creating positive social contexts.

• Provide guidance and support based on the youth's individual challenges.
• 
  
• Support in schooling and encourage attendance and motivation.
• 
  
• Document the assignment continuously in the Family Home Consultant's system (FK).
• 
  
• Conduct mapping and case descriptions as a basis for treatment work.
• 
  
• If necessary, transport the placed individual to and from parents, emergency or family homes, and activities.
• 
  
• Attend APT meetings and contribute to collaboration within the team.
